Businesswoman turned spiritual medium, author, coach, and podcast host.

I know it’s rare to see “businesswoman” and “spiritual author” in the same description, but I am living proof the Universe works in amazing ways if you let it.

After graduating from Stanford University, I spent my entire career in business—starting out in New York City at some of the world's largest advertising agencies and eventually taking on senior marketing and strategy roles at companies like Coca-Cola and the Converse Division of Nike. From there, I made the switch to entrepreneurship, starting two technology companies with my husband Michael, which we ran together for nearly 20 years.

I genuinely enjoyed my professional life—building and leading great teams, developing creative business strategies, and bringing innovative products to market. It was fulfilling in so many ways.

At least on the outside.

Underneath my professional persona, few knew that I had been on a very personal spiritual journey for many years. Like many people, I had questions about the world and Universe around me and, most of all, my place within it. What am I here to do? What is this life experience all about? Why am I here? 

For most of my adult life, I had a strong sense that I was to be doing something more to help others. It wasn’t a feeling born out of dissatisfaction or emptiness in my day-to-day life, however. I always have had a blessed and happy life full of great friends, a big, loving family, and work that I enjoyed. Instead, the feeling was more like a knowing or an urging that steadily tugged at my soul. I read many books, listened to a lot of podcasts, and prayed and hoped the answers I sought would one day come to me.

Then, in January 2020, something remarkable happened. It all began somewhere over the Pacific Ocean as my husband and I flew from the United States to Australia for a long-awaited trip. As I started writing in my journal, messages started coming to me in the most unexpected and extraordinary way. Just days later, the answers to my most pressing questions poured through me in the form of a beautiful book called Shine. In it, I received a powerful and beautiful message that helped me understand what I am here to do and what this life experience is about for all of us.

Shine's simple message of love, hope, and purpose revealed what I had wanted to know for so long. Through Shine, I found—I remembered—who I was always meant to be. I discovered my light.  And it is now my calling to share this beautiful message so others can find their own light and share it with the world.

I see now that the Universe uniquely prepared me for this, as it prepares all of us with our own unique experiences and our own unique gifts. The Universe works in amazing ways if you let it.
